I'm asking cause i'm pretty much broke seen as i'm saving for College and can't quite afford the fees for the gym. I just noticed since i lost my job working nights a few months back that i gained a bit of weight basically from sitting around all day but i want to get back in shape could you advise me on anything i can do that would help me lose the weight without expensive gyms and stuff. your advise would be very helpful. Thanks:)

walk, cycle, run for exercise they are cheap and free if you have a bike dosen't cost anything to go to a park

but i would say it may help to have a look at your diet i changed my diet and i found that that did more good then the exercise for loosing weight i just exercise cause it makes me feel good

i found when started to get back in to shape it was hard to do on my own so i found one of my mates to do it with me, you know to help keep you motivated when you are doing it alone it to easy to say a sure i'll miss today i am just not in the humour

Watch the diet a bit and then start jogging, then build it up into running. When I started I was 15 1/2 stone, now I'm bordering around 12ish ..... if you need any proof that this is a great (and cheap!) way just check out this thread

Diet. Loosing weight is nearly all down to having a correct diet set out, exercise just helps this.

Either diet or exercise will do, think of it as a very simple maths equation...

Anyone's weight is a result of food (energy taken in) versus exercise (energy going out).

So if you work off more "energy" than you eat, the weight will drop. So the choices are be more sensible about food or doing more exercise!

It’s up to you and only you to decide which works for you, either will work, but the smart and healthy thing to do is to do both. Be more attentive to what you eat (without being too anal!) and get some exercise in! In fact a bit of exercise makes the "dieting" (for want of a much better word!) easer and vice cersa, they're complimentary.;)
