    So the Smoke Monster is kept out by sonic fences or magic dust right? So I guess he can be kept in either. So why hasn't someone just made a big circle of dust around the area he's in, and then smaller circles or lines, until he's trapped in a circle the size of a hula hoop?

    Richard knows about the magic dust. He's trying to stop Smocke from getting on the plane. Why not just get one of the other dudes to chat to Smocke while he runs around in a ring just out of sight, trailing dust?

    Game, set and match.

    Probably because they want to get 17 or 18 episodes outta this season. If they did it your way, it would be over in one episode.

    Sorry off topic now...

    Do we know who was in the Cabin? It was supposed to jacob, but there was dust all round it, was that to keep someone in or out?

    The person in the Cabin was seen as Christian at one stage too, so was that MiB or Jacob?

    Now I'm confused.:confused:

    It has to be MiB seeing as Jacob lived in the statue and we saw Christian in the cabin.

    But I don't think the ash was trapping him, because as we saw, he was freely roaming the island from Day 1.

    Don't forget once Dogen was dead he passed the circle of ash to enter the Temple.

    The ash circle could not have been able to keep MIB inside because we've seen the smoke monster and Un-Christian roaming freely since the beginning. Perhaps it keep MIB prisoner once but had been broken at some point before 815 crashed?
