Need advice on Gears of war lancer gun

Hey all,

Just want a second opinion before i even consider chopping up my g36e.

Just wanted your opinion if you think a g36e "without the scope" is a good basis for the lancer gun in gears of war...and no the chainsaw won't be working on it....(yet).

If you think theirs another airsoft gun that would be more suited as a basis for it, by all means please post it up.

So far i have 6 blue leds and battery pack for the gun and a chainsaw arm and blade and loads of fibreglass.

Below are the pics of the gun im roughly trying to replecate.

Maybe an MC51 would be a good base gun to use...

:Dthanks for that mate, i can see where your coming from with these guns, as you say a wee bit short but definatly achcievable.

Thanks....wait a sec.....is the bottom link a type of g3.....??

There is a prop gun lancer around, it was a promo item for the game. Try ebay for it.

Aye i looked that up, apparently its solid plastic with working lights....looks the business

Aye thanks for that, it definately puts it in to perspective....is it just me but if i put a g36k or e front rail on the mc51 that it kinda matches the lancer....? the mag has to modified, maybe the g3 that was mention above would be another contender......still brain storming....thanks for the pics and advice , keep it coming...:D:D:D

some general advice:

Plan everything .. make it in cardboard before trying anything.

get a cheap springer version of whatever you're planning to mod (i actually have a g36c springer but being in dublin that aint much use to you )

only once your 100% sure what your going to be doing should you think about modding the actual g36 you want to mod

Thanks for that mate, tbh i'm gonna do it on a aeg for sure. I'll even consider broken ones just for their bodies...."that sounds slezy from me"

Will definatly take that under consideration...i might even put a bit of every gun that has being mentioned so far...like i said before it wont be 100% like the lancer but more or less aimed to look like it.....thanks again mate;)

Its hollow, a guy made an airsoft one before, look it up

If you can get the shell, all you will need is a gear box, barrel and hop unit to make an aeg.

There is a lancer shell on ebay, its 200$ though

i would recommend getting a scar h for it looks like the new mp5 but with a bigger mag.

hhhhmmm.....a scar could work, im always a sucker for scar's but tbh there're very few on sale secondhand even a broken one.....Good basis though, will definatly do a few sketches on paper and see how it turns out...
