More Electronica than Indie but he's classed as Indietronica on wiki so I'll post here.

Anyway, I have this on loop since Tuesday. Quality album, deserved of a pitchfork best new music badge I think.
Wasn't much of a fan of the single Odessa which everyone was raving about but the album has a couple of absolute stompers.
Kailia, Jamelia & Sun to name a few..

Reminds me of Miike Snows album last year. Well worth a listen if that's your thing.

Loving this too - I think Odessa is great, also Sun - but my fave track at the moment is Bowls - which really reminds me of some of Orbital's better work.

Swim isn't as accessible as his last release Andorra, not a bad thing imo. It's rich in content, I've played the album about 5 times now and am still hearing new sounds on each listen.

Odessa is my song of the year so far.

edit, this performance was on ch4 earlier.

Caribou's really great live - two drumkits at the front of stage, bashing out the songs.

The old bass player owes me 4 euro for the jukebox in Whelan's though. I want it back!

After the announcement last month, I checked out the acts I hadn't heard of before and Caribou are one of the few I actually like.

Decent album alright for some reason I thought it'd been out longer than it has.

Love this album. Glad to see he's playing with a band for this album as I've heard great things about them live. I was worried it was just going to be a dj set. Can't wait for EP - it's lining up to be pretty monumental at this stage.,

    Absolutely loving this.

Not surprised it's getting popular, but kinda miffed at that. Was hoping that it would remain a secret for me and the few others who have heard their stuff over the past months.

    Ever feel like that?!

Get in the indie snob line behind us who have been listening to Dan Snaith's stuff for years. ;)

Obviously i saw the thread Caribou and first thing I thought was the awesome song by the pixies.
Good way of getting my attention. Interesting song Swim but do they just do instrumental stuff?

Great album, probably one of the best I've heard this year, with Odessa certainly being the single of the year. Really hope he does a few more shows apart from the Picnic.

Manitoba's 'up in flames' is a brilliant album.
