I'd love to see a wide range of blogs veering from politically Liberal, conservative, libertarian, commie etc. The only US blogs network I've ever properly stumbled upon was DailyKos, and its really really dull and self congratulatory.

Any suggestions? (Irish, European and American blogs welcome)

Across the water, I think both the Daily Telegraph and Guardian blog/comment probably are the top two for insider insight and analysis. Right now, with the elections, the contributors usually manage to cut through the PR driven nonsense we all see/hear on the TV/radio.

Both opposite ends of the political compass too!

Can't say I usually enjoy reading many US blogs, as most seem to fall into the trap of 'Democrats always good/Republicans always bad', or vice-versa, and often don't tend to analyse above that!

While I abhor the idea of more Internet censorship, i'm not sure if many blogs are being utilised in the best possible manner.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
