    Hey all,

Does anyone know the precise title of the case involving David Bourke, who was convicted of murdering his wife Jean Gilbert in 2009?

I assume it was something along the lines of:

    People (DPP) v Bourke

but I cannot find it anywhere on the legal Databases to which I have access.

    Many thanks

I would imagine that is because at this stage there has only been a trial. As such it was a matter for the jury to reach a decision based on the evidence put before it off innocence or guilt, this of itself does not usually warrant inclusion in the Law Reports or online legal databases (save for newspaper articles, etc).

However, if the convict decides to appeal to the Court of Criminal Appeal then that Court's decision will in all likelihood appear in said law reports and legal databases.

nothing on Justis and LexisNexis as of yet.

I'd adopt the points raised by 'dats_right'.

You might have to wait to see if there is an appeal to the CCA. In any event, Case Reporting takes a very long time and it is exceptionally technical so depending on the time of year of the case etc - it may not be completed yet
