    Hi all,

Will need to get new tyres for the above and just have a few questions. As I've had vredestein hitrac tyres on the partner's passat and am happy with those, I'm thinking of trying their Sportrac 3 on the focus. The tyre spec is 205/55/16 91V. I think the original tyres are Pirelli

The rear tyres have some life left, so was thinking of ordering 4 but just replace 2 for now. Is it OK to mix these tyres? Should I switch the current rears to the front and put the Sportrac on the back? Or just replace the fronts?

    Thanks

    W

Friendf got Sportrac 3's on his 07 Focus and is delighted with them. I'd be inclined to put the new ones on the back and then the fronts will wear out quicker and you'll have the 4 new ones on sooner.

    doesn't really matter.

Had the Sportrac 3 tyres on my old Focus TDCi and found them excellent. Would definately recommend them.

Always put the new pair on the rear. It's amazing that some tyre fitters don't know this.

Michelin's opinion. Goodyear's opinion. I'd go with the Michelin one alone, tbh.

if the car has esp then most manufactures recommend to put the tyres on the front. if the car does not have esp then id put them on the rear
