I'm expecting a wave of abuse for this, but what is it with AH's fascination with trolls and constant efforts to feed and glorify them?

Don't get me wrong, I like having a laugh, but surely you can do it in better ways than by encouraging some keyboard-warrior-a$$hole

What a troll wants though is anger/outrage, so pretty much anything other than that is just going to annoy them and thus it's not really "feeding" them.

That trolls set out to wind people up/cause an emotional reaction is a common misconception imo.

Most trolls I've seen seem to have been more out to cause a temporary disruption to the message board (for lulz) than to wind people up, be it in the form of a controversial post (to get a ****storm going), making a post that's obviously against the rules, acting the tit to provide regular users with lulz or just general nonsense posting/attention seeking.

For example, i don't think the guy who posted "double ******" 100 times in size 7 font yesterday wanted to enrage us or anything.
