When you say capacity I assume you mean ERP (transmitter power).

Brougher Mountain is transmitting at 500W at the moment I believe, it goes full power at Digital Switchover (DSO) early to mid 2012 (20 kw/2 kw PSB/COM Mux planned).

Truskmore goes full power when NI analogue is switched off, restricted until then.

    Thank you m8:)
This is the signal strength from Brougher Mountain transmitter now...

at 500W, What will it look like when it is at 20Kw

A lot more signal will fall into the south:eek::eek::eek:

Any info or maps on predictions of how further signal will travel into the south after proposed power increase.

The PSB may cover about the same as the current analogue signals. But the three COM muxes will have an ERP of just 2kW - but much worse they will use the same channels - 21+ 24 and 27 - as the Divis 100kW PSB muxes.

Now remember a DTT signal (except the MiniMux) must be like 200+ times stronger than the total noise (Divis + other noise + noise in the receiver).

The COM muxes from Brougher Mountain will be difficult in most places unless you are close to the TX or Divis is behind a mountain.

    Lars :)
