Cheap beads for school project

    Hiya,

    I'm looking for cheap beads to buy in bulk for a school project. They don't have to be great quality, have been looking on the internet and have found a few sites but it's hard to judge how suitable they would be. They will be used to make bracelets, we need a couple of thousand really so just looking for a few ideas for shops or websites?

    PS was looking at Hama beads but dont know if they could be used to make bracelets??

    Two firms, Heart Educational Supplies at www.heart-educational.ie have a bulk pack of mixed beads for €5.26 for 200g, (these will probably have a few misshapes and odments, but still good value) and lots of other posibilities. Also www.specialistcrafts.ie, also based in Galway, have a good selection including some cheap ones.

    Joyce's are a shop in Cork that sell arts and crafts supplies but also educational stuff. They sell bags of beads for €1.99 - I'm not sure how many are in each bag but it might be of use to you! Give them a shout if you want to ask about a bulk order - they're always really helpful to me when I need something!
