    Hey Folks,

Quick question, I bought BPP learning material sept last year and was wondering if any of the Acca exams change a whole lot year to year. In other words will the books I got last year still be ok for the Dec round of exams or would I need to get up to dates one?

    thanks

It depends on the subject, what books do you have?

I'm only looking to start my studies as a mature student, have F2 & F3, I am presuming that since these subjects are fundemental there will be very little change and I should be fairly ok to stick with the same books????

For F2 & F3 you should be fine. The key to passing those is just learning the techniques and doing past exam questions.

Remember to check out the CBE option for the exams especially if you are studying them yourself

I presume F1 is the same - ie the books rarely change?

Can anyone advise if there is Irish versions of all of the ACCA exams?

Its strange, I found the Kaplan ACCA books in Waterstones but they only had the international/UK versions, which seems strange? Almost bought them without realising that there was a difference.

F3, F4, F6, F7 & F8 have Irish variants. Apart from F6 (tax) I would advise you to do international if you can. Everything is going along a streamlined route so why limit yourself to the Irish variants?? It would be better to learn int. standards, IMO.

Thanks Ianuss, I never really questioned which to do, to be honest. I thought I would have to do the Irish versions.

Thanking you just needed to confirm that for myself. Would be kicking myself if I had to go buy more books without even opening the old ones!!
