    Hi All,

I am looking for a good idea for a holiday this summer. Myself and my boyfriend want to go somewhere different, avoid the packages holidays. So far we've been to Rhodes, Turkey, Spain and Portugal.

Can anyone recommend somewhere where we can have a nice relaxing week?

    The Dalmation coast in Croatia.

Myself and my girlfriend went last year. Flew into Zadar with Ryanair and travelled the length of the coast to Dubrovnic. Accomodation was cheap and easy to find in most places and the food was amazing.

    +1 for Croatia

Sorry for the hijack, but can I ask those of you who have been to Croatia, is it expensive to eat & drink out? Which resorts would you recommend visiting? Thanks :)

Have you considered staying in Ireland ?
There are nice houses to rent on Achill Island which are cheap enough and you will have a nice relaxing break.

I stayed in Achill a few years back and even though the area is not too bad, the weather was dull and wet which ruined it all really :(

As said above I heard that Croatia is a great place for relaxation, and a break from our dreadful climate. You need to go abroad to have a proper holiday in my opinion, even if it is simply to escape from hearing Brian Cowen on the radio every day :pac:
