The Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Sherwood to the newly created position of Technical Co-Ordinator.

A former England international, Tim made 118 appearances for us as a player between 1999 and 2002 and has been working as a part-time First Team Coach since November 2008.

Tim's responsibilities will focus on managing and coordinating player development across all our squads, including the supervision and monitoring of loan placements, technical coaching and physical improvement.

Chris Ramsey, the Club's current Assistant Academy Manager and Head of Player Development Under 9-16s, will move into the role of Assistant Technical Co-ordinator working alongside Tim and Striker Coach Les Ferdinand.

The new structure will look to further strengthen the relationship between the Academy and First Team with the objective of driving talent forward across the Club.

Tim said: "We will be geared towards ensuring players at all levels are achieving their full potential in order to optimise their position at the Club - always with a view of benefiting First Team player selection.

"Chris Ramsey brings a vast knowledge of youth and academy football, both from being at this club and elsewhere, having also previously worked with senior professionals. He will be a great asset to us."
