Vote for another facebook group admin!

So like I said before it would be handy to have another admin for the facebook group so when I am busy / on hols someone else can accept requests and add events / photos etc.

Why not reply telling people why they should vote for you (voting is multiple choice)

I put the real names in alphabetical order and then posted the associated username so no favourtism on my part

If you don't want to be an admin let me know...

I don't have a problem doing it, and I am online most of the time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,168 ✭✭✭colblimp

I'm the same, I'm always on here and would be able to do all the things required by Tutty. Vote for me! Or if not, vote for OEB!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,114 ✭✭✭corkcomp

I'm always online via facebook mobile, vote for me if your not voting for any of the guys above :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,579 ✭✭✭Webmonkey

I can do it too, as I'm always online

Hey just a quick one, I think I set the results to be hidden (but will be visible in 14 days) can anyone confirm that they cannot see the results?

I can see how many votes everyone got but not who voted for who...

Wow, it's like an election - cool! Is there going to be a debate? :D

    Break down as follows:

22 people listed (not including myself as that was a joke)

    5 votes - 1 person only
    2 votes - 6 people
    1 vote - 6 people
    0 votes - 9 people.

So why should people vote for you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,488 ✭✭✭kingtut

    Oooooo a sudden change!!

    5 votes - 1 person only
    3 votes - 1 person only
    2 votes - 5 people
    1 vote - 6 people
    0 votes - 9 people.

So why should people vote for you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,579 ✭✭✭Webmonkey

People should vote for me because I'm a monkey and am one of the oldest and wisest posters here :p

That's two more votes than we have people in the facebook group.

I can't stop non facebook group people from voting, however only facebook group people are eligible to be voted for so one of them will be the second admin.

Tut, i hope you don't mind be saying this, but i really don't think this should have been done on boards.

Keep the facebook stuff to facebook imo.

The forum seems to be turning more and more into a social forum, which tbh isn't really the main aim of it.

    just my 2c,

    L

You are entitled to your opinion however I disagree completely.
The main purpose of the facebook is to share photos and that is it.
Also, posting this on facebook would mean that only a few people get to see it. Posting it here means that everyone hears about it and also they become aware that there is a facebook group. (plus this thread like most is just for a bit of craic)

I don't think anyone wants facebook to become a replacement for boards and so far no-one has expressed fear that it may.

What is the aim of the Cork forum in your opinion if it is not for social things? I can only speak for myself when I say I love the social aspect of the forum and the banter that everyone has :)

    That's my opinion anyway :)

I couldn't agree more with the King on this one. Without the banter and social dimension to boards.ie, it would quickly dwindle away.

As a new person & a non-voter on the above FB poll, i have to say i agree wit d above...i wouldnt be on here or stay here if it wasn't how it is...its all very well using it for recommendations or info etc but without d chat/banter then it may just as well be a directory type site that i would only visit when necessary. I have to be honest I havnt read d rules & regs but in my mind, isn't boards a forum...hence it being open to people to use how they wish within reason?

There are many threads that don't interest me, i just dont read them...maybe ppl can do d same wit this one?!

Isn't the logo of boards saying it all...boards.ie, now ye're talkin'

sorry for buttin in as im only new, but tawt it mite be good to get d views of someone who came across d site.....and stayed because i liked what i found.....
