Cross Game Voice Chat is further up my list of priorities and I'm glad it's in the lead at the moment! Media servers are grand for mkv's!

Id like if they introduced a feature where you could install a different OS.

LOL you dont ask for much do ya ;)

I would like a new browser, cant even get on you tube at the minute without it telling me to upgrade me flash player or something, very irritating!!!

mkv support and Firefox would be my priorities. I have no interest in cross part chats or other such things

If anything, I'd go for Chrome for speed but, I'm not too worried about the internet browser on the PS3!

Probably an easy feature to add to the XMB - to allow creating groups of friends - it will be brilliant if I can put all BC2 playing boardsies into a group, and to invite them all in one go etc would be brilliant!

Get the EU PSN store up to US and JP standards asap. What we have is a joke.

I use the browser on my PS3 all the time to watch tv shows online. Using Megavideo, it's the business! Could do with a good few improvements though!

Remove region locking on my PS1 and PS2 games. Pain in the hole having a backwards compatible PS3 that's american.

Its a bit weird that when Sony announced the removal of Other OS due to piracy fears everyone seemed to agree but MKV support which is basically only used for Pirated material is one of the most requested items.

I just put in a suggestion to have the ability to charge the PS34 controllers while the PS3 is Off. Similiar to the Wii. Other than that I'm pretty easily pleased.

Is this another way of saying the video store is now available?

I found it on the wikipedia page and that's what I thought it to mean too but, no. Still no Irish video store!!! Why the hell not??? Even the uk one is just movies, no tv shows yet! I just don't understand how it could take so long!

I done similar a couple of months ago ... It's ridiculous that you have to have the PS3 on full power to charge a small maH battery ?
With the high power usage a PS3 uses it's equal to turning on a small fridge to make 1 ice cube.

People do that all of the time though. I usually just plug my PS3 controllers into my Xbox for them to charge then turn off the Xbox.

Is that some kind of weird blasphemy? :P

The licensing rights for things like this can be a complete cúnt. Ireland is a small market with relatively low broadband uptake and relatively slow speeds. They might feel it just isn't worth the effort or feel the effort is better placed somewhere else.

Sticking a PS3 item inside an XBOX ? .... Don't you need permission from the Pope to do things like that :)

    Cousins and all !

So you wouldn't be surprised if we're waiting another year to get it, if at all? It'd be nice to have the option and if it's reasonably priced, I could see myself using it a fair bit.

sure theres an automatic shut down option on ps3 just sign out so your friends know your offline leave them pluged in charging and off you go the ps3 will shut it self down after a certain time mine is set to turn off after 1 hour its handy when your finished playing just leave them an it switches off

I'd like Sony to make a joypad with decent analog sticks so that playing first person shooters on the console could actually be fun.

The point people are making is that you're using alot of power with the system fully on to charge a small little battery.

With the Xbox you can 'power off' the unit and charge the controllers whilst it's 'off'.

In reality it's just in a very low power mode but it reduces it's electric usage by miles.

If that wasn't exactly coherant I'm a little drunk :P

whats the big deal tho with using some power are people that tight thsese days that they cant leave there pS3 on to charge controllers without having to worry about the cost
sure loads a people are out there who do that folding home home thing which use's power which goes to a good cause i dont see a problem with using power at all and the slim is supposed to use less power then the fat and now there's a new slim which use's even less power again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,084 ✭✭✭Grumpypants

If im not within range of the PS3 USB cable i have an old phone charger that is a USB and that works to charge the controllers while i play. Sometimes i use the laptop to charge them.

Think you can buy a plug in to the wall charge station that may do the job. But it would be good to have it like the xbox that it charges the controllers while turned off.

    Potsy ,
The power usage is not really a cost issue with me , it's more a care (enviroment) issue.
I am no ECO warrior but I just think it's silly to have to have the PS3 fully booted up to charge a tiny mAh battery .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,317 ✭✭✭CombatCow

When the ps3 is idle, it uses about the same amount of electricity as a light bulb, so it's not really a big issue, tho I guess it would be a nice feature to have...
