I'll sell you my old under armour, 20 quid? The names Terry Tibs, remember that, I won't say it again.

bought under armour shorts in Lifestyle Sports in Stephens Green Centre twice, one time they were €30, next time they were on sale for only €8!

I find them great for stopping me thighs rubbing together when running, fatso that I am

Elverys at the bottom of Grafton Street have a good selection. Usually have some on sale for as low as E10. In my opinion canterbury is the best, but expensive. Rugbytech is the cheapest and pretty good

    elverys at fonthill road

or buy online, you will get it cheaper

Does it have to be under armour or are you looking for any kind of baselayer; i ask because i know a lot of people seem to use the term "under armour" when they mean baselayer. If you are just looking for a baselayer there are some good prices on chain reaction cycles; http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=357. You'll get better prices on Canterbury stuff than Elverys as far as i know. Can vouch for the quality of the Canterbury baselayers

was in orlando last week and bought about 8 underarmour tops, mens and womens for approx $10-12 each.

i know its not useful to the OP but does show the ridiculous prices we pay here in ireland.

if your not too worried about the brand and the "cool" factor then penneys do a range of baselayers called "backswing" fairly regularly that are pretty reasonably priced and do the same job.

There are loads of different types of under armour, also known as base layers. It really depends what activity your doing as to which one will suit you best.

    You could try
    Great outdoors
    53 degrees north
sports shops such as lifestyle elverys

again determining what brand you want is a lot to do with the activity

If you're looking for womens you could try buying boys it's about half the price and a good fit and I wouldn't have previously thought my upper body resembled a teenage boys but it fit v. well.

I bought one of the long sleeve ones of these last week as an experiment. It's been through 3 BJJ sessions and a competition and it handled everything fine. They're thicker than Under Armour HeatGear but not so much that you'll be roasted. €15 for the top and they have shorts too. Going to go back and buy more on Friday.

Anyone know if the "BackSwing" baselayers are in Penneys at the moment?

Well you should try eBay, my brother wears it all the time when he's training and he said you can get it on eBay for cheaper than most store, maybe about €35 with delivery.
Though backswing from Penneys is supposed to be good enough stuff :)

It was there like a week ago when I was in the one on Henry St. Def worth the few measly dollars, **** paying chump money for under armour in Elverys or some other extortionarium.

On Amazon, there's a brand called 'Sub-Armour' that I actually prefer to the two UnderArmour tops I have. A few quid cheaper, and looks the business too.

The O'Neills store on the Long Mile Road is also a good spot to get decent under-armour cheap. Got a pair of shorts last week for €14, only worn once so far but seem fine. Have two pairs of Nike that I paid €22.50 (on sale) and £15 for. The O'Neills seem every bit as good so far anyway.

The Penny's range is ok, but it loses its shape after alot of sweating and a few washes. I'd spend a bit more money on the stuff in future.

TK Maxx in Blanch do loads of baselayer stuff, from Nike, SKINZ, UnderArmour etc. all for nearly half the usual price!

TK maxx is the biz, got loads of nike stuff in there. Anyone else wear skins? i got one 3 years ago and its still grand, quality stuff.
I had a nike pro base layer aswell but had to throw it out because of the awful smell that would come off it.

Elverys have it - but saw a cheap version in Penneys. Not sure of the quality, but might be worth looking at

Ya I have the skins leggings, they're far better than the ones Penny's sell but are overpriced at 90 Euro (2years ago).

Good quality though, will never lose their shape.

never understood under armour etc. is it just that its warm or is there some kind of performance enhancement? I can understnad wearing something like it if you're doing some kind of grappling or playing matches ouside but not sure about anything else.

    What am i missing?

its tight fitting so shows everyone how ripped you are

It wicks sweat away from the body so you don't get a tshirt sticking to you, feeling damp then cold. Also like it for gym work, as it doesn't get in the way of the weight at all.
