How do people become moderators on boards?

    Just curious -- I don't want to become a mod myself - i doubt they would allow it :D

    but is this a voluntary thing ? how do people become mods ??

    It's a long process involving oral sex, cocaine and money changing hands.

    Or you just show that you have an interest in a particular field by making continuous valuable contributions to that field. Then people see how valuable you are and stuf happens behing the scenes.
