So, apparently poppers are now illegal in Ireland, and have been since the 1st of April. What the hell?

Does anyone have any more information on this? Newspaper articles or links to the new directive or anything?

I know, it sounds like an April Fools, but there are none on the shelves.

Incorrect poppers have been and still are legal, that is the reason you can buy them in shops as long as you are over 18

Hrm, so they're still legal? I'm more confused. I'll check in town next time I'm in, see if I can get more concrete information.

And yes, poppers were/are legal, provided you were over 18.

You get them in all sex shops or in the head shops or you can buy them online

They also sell them in the Sauna's

As of now they are not illegal.

They may become so in the future.

You could stock up just in case, but they don't last well once the bottle is opened in my experience. I'd be gutted if they ever did make them illegal. Thanks for pointing this out.

So do they actually enhance anything? The only time I tried them was when I was drunk and inhaled a bit that was going around, just ended up with a pounding headache ( but that could have been the drink :p)

They act as a muscle relaxant and some people find they enhance orgasms.

And you can have a very brief high on them, should you be that way inclined.

Basic Instincts are still selling them, but when they run out, that's it apparently.

Ive checked all sex shops and the saunas etc and they are all saying that they are no longer for sale. They are off the market.

They should be illegal just for the annoying c***s who walk up to you on the dancefloor and shove the bottle in your face. Hate poppers!

Oh they're still available in sex shops alright. I went with a mate to buy a bottle not too long ago, the guy behind the counter eye balled us for a while then pulled out a shelf below his counter. Was well dodge! lol :D
