I've seen a few of these around-in UCC, UL and DCU as well as in several universities in Britain.

Is anyone currently studying in one of these courses at the moment or have you graduated with this in the past?

If so then how did you find it, what are the job prospects for graduates like and in what specific areas do graduates find themselves working? Did you fins the course difficult and what background di you come into it from?

I would be interested in what your undergraduate degree was because these courses are not aimed at Computer Scientists. Ideally for them you would be from a Maths background or even Physics/Engineering.

I am doing something similar at the moment, its a MSc in Machine Learning. The maths is well intensive and a decent knowledge of linear algebra, probability and calculus is needed. A knowledge of programming is secondary.
Guys from Comp Sci are struggling in the class and the only ones really excelling are those from a pure maths background (alas not me!)
