    Well I have a dilemma

I just started a new job so I have no savings so its a choice of either getting a banger for 500 to 1000 or just get a loan or fiance from a dealer for a decent car between 5k and 10k

I was thinking of ford focus, toyota corrolla,VW golf ,eng size no bigger than 1.4litre if I was going for a decent car

High miles and a 1.6 automatic, will be close to impossible to ever resell it. I'd imagine it's an ex rental as he has another 7 identical cars for sale. If you can get it for €5k I would go for it, otherwise avoid.

in that case get something like a corolla - plenty of older ones on carzone for under a grand, and they will run forever

timetogetfit, just start one thread instead of multiple threads covering the same topic. I've merged the two.
