Does anybody know if eurosport hd and BBC hd will be showing live games in hd at this years world cup??

yes bbc hd and itv hd will be showing the wc

Not sure about eurosport but i would be 80% sure they would

Hopefully Eurosport show them in hd too.. As I have'nt got ITV hd, as we have upc.. Pity Rte don't launch a hd channel.. We pay enough to them.. But I suppose thats to keep all there presenters on big wages..( sorry for rambling, an opinion for another thread)

don't think Eurosport have any live games from the world cup, only deferred coverage, am also with UPC, so hoping they'll add ITV HD before the tournament.

RTÉ really have missed the boat on HD, they had the perfect opportunity when most European broadcasters showed Euro 2008 and the Beijing games in HD, but no SD for them, same again with the 6 Nations this year, which was also originally filmed in HD and now the world cup, what odds we'll still be watching the London games and Euro 2012 in SD on RTÉ.

So true, considering most major sporting events are now filmed in HD, and throw in all the american shows that RTE show in SD, but are filmed in HD and RTE could have great HD channel

They have missed the boat on everything else.
The Late Late Show was still Black and White in 1976.
Look on the bright side, they are only 12 years behind on DTT.
