can you get a black slide shiney silver

    i have a p226 and im wondering is it possible to turn its black slide to silver how is it done ????????

    My Glock 17 has a slide that was polished from black!

    As far as I know, it was done with wet and dry paper to start, then finished with varying grades of steel wool.

    Yes it's possible, but only with metal slides (otherwise you're just gonna paint it). Basically you take the paint off the slide, and polish the metal to a nice sheen. There's a lot of method to it, but Joker can explain it much better than I can, so as such I leave it for himself

    There is a chrome aerosol available in some motor factors, it looks good, alot faster to spray it than all that sanding, to sand it use wet 1500 grade paper, then 2000, then a trizact after that use peek metal polish with a buffer on its slowest setting, looks awesome if its given a very light grey scotch and coat of laquer.
