Newsgroups vs P2P vs UPC vs Eircom

    Evening all.

After the Eircom P2P news today I wonder if they will differentiate between
    P2P usage and newsgroup usage?

How are the two sharing methods different as far as an ISP is concerned?

I know P2P tools like kazaa and limewire are by far the most common ways to share files but surely newsgroups are the heaviest on bandwidth.

I am currently with UPC. The service is fine as long as you dont have any problems and have to deal with their customer service. (This will be same with all ISP's in Ireland until there is more competition)
What are the odds of UPC following in Eircoms footsteps re P2P?

In my opinion UPC and Giganews is the only was to go at the moment for bandwith. I hope this dosent get stomped on by U2 and their legal team.

    Regards,

    Wavey.
