Pencil lead in my galaxy bar :(

Was munching away on a galaxy bar today at lunch, and CRUNCH!...tooth nearly cracks lol, and I find, a lump of what can only be described as PENCIL LEAD in my Galaxy Bar Ruined My Day!!!

Don't you see? This is the best thing that could have happened! All you have to do is send them a letter along the lines of "psychological trauma and severe toothache" and you'll never have to buy a galaxy again!!!

Pencils don't use actual lead any more - they wouldn't use such poisonous things in primary school...

Are you sure you were eating a Galaxy bar?
Sounds to me like you were trying to eat a pencil case, did it say Helix on the 'wrapper'

It wouldn't poison you because its graphite that's used in pencils, its just called lead for some reason.

Out of interest and maybe sligtly off-topic, but I wonder what's the boards.ie take on the ethics of this thread?

I mean, what's to stop a rival chocolate company from signing up and putting up such a thread? I know the poster is resposible, not boards.ie, but t could still cause trouble, or am I being paranoid?

Well its not that big of a deal, it represents a freak accident.

Usually theres information on the wrapper that will let them know when and where and from what batch the bar was made from. It helps them to track down the problem.

Or you could argue its a galaxy bar. I mean, exactly how much of the galaxy did you think was made of chocolate and nougat? Gotta throw some lead in there at SOME point. And a bit of void.

There should be a phone number and address on the label. It usually says if you are not entirely satisfied with this product please contact us etc
