Camo Jacket and Vest

Im looking for a lightweight Woodland Camo Jacket and a Vest for Airsofting but I've no idea where to look. Im new to this and my current jacket is very thick and heavy and its incredibly warm for the summer.

Im looking for the cheapest possible for the Jacket and as cheap as I can get for a quality vest.

Vest-wise I dont need 900 pockets, I want somthing light and simple that can hold a few mags and frags.

The flecktarn BDU's from flecktarn.co.uk r cheap, durable and like you asked for light, I have a set myself very nice indeed

Nice one - Does that Jacket only come as a set? I have Woodland bottoms already, And they're ideal. Durable and light so all Im after is the Jacket, But if it s not cheaper I'd just buy the set. 36 is not bad at all

There cheap but i doubt the quality would be great.

If you want a multicam set id go for propper or tru spec, I have a set of proppers multicam and its very good quality but not the cheapest at the same time

Flecktarn.co.uk as I mentioned earlier does jackets on their own and for a good price too, just a quick question what kinda camo pants do you have Brit DPM or US woodland etc.

Im guessing you'd want them to match but they do most camos anyway

As for a vest id recommend a SAAV
    also at flecktarn.co.uk

    http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/mainsearch.php?zoom_query=SAAV&zoom_and=0&zoom_cat%5B%5D=-1

I had one myself and I thought it was great when I had it

SeAirsoft have jackets and bottoms seperatly AFAIK, and id reccomend the SAAV aswell. Lots of pockets, lots of space and theres a hydration pouch on the back too, MIA Are selling the SAAV and the hydration bladder for 40 which i think is great considering i got the SAAV on its own for 50

Im going up to MIA tomorrow and I'll have a look at it (if its there, knowing my luck it wont be :P)

I reckon I'll order that Light-weight Camo Jacket and Legs linked above unless anyone has any better suggestions?

Hope you don't mind me jumping on your thread OP but it will save me starting a new one.

Can someone tell me what the quality of the gear on the Flectarn site is?

I'm dying to get myself some Danish M84 camo. They have a set on Flecktarn but I want to know is it durable and, more importantly will it fade? It's a great camo which works really well in forested area's this time of year ( as I saw with my friends the other day) and I wouldn't want it to fade quick.

I've got a few bits and bobs from Flecktarn and the stuff is good quality - also the site posts quickly and does everything efficiently and without fuss. Highly recommend them. I think that the M84 is Bulle - I've a woodland set I just got from them and they're decent quality - lightweight but well made.

Good to know, thanks Despot. Did your stuff fade much?

Anyone know how effective the likes of this would be?

I reckon I'll get that regardless, those PLA are a gas bunch of lads - plus I quite like that pattern.

Secondly - What colour/camo Tac. vest would suit that? I was thinking Black but Im unsure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,511 ✭✭✭Damo 2k9

The tac vest doesnt have to match, its just if your playing in woodland you get spotted with black on easy ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,902 ✭✭✭MagicIRL

That's what I was fearing - thought black would stand out alot. How ya reckon that camo pattern will work in woodland? The grey is abit dangerous tbh - but the green and brown in it might help break me up. Any ideas?

Tbh mate your better off in just getting standard woodland :P
Its available everywhere over here and if you get a good brand eg. Helikon then it will last :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,902 ✭✭✭MagicIRL

Was really just looking for somthing a little more "individual" then the standard woodland everyone runs around in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,511 ✭✭✭Damo 2k9

Get flecktarn then, a good few people run around in it but it works well and it looks good too :D

    BUMP: Another Question!:)

I would pressume that this Multicam Set would work well here in Ireland?

Also, Any recommendations for headgear? Was going to get a Boonie but just curoius as to what else people tend to use out in the Airsoft world? Im not buying a Helmet, thats for sure. - Anyway to get a wool hat in that multicam pattern?

lots of people here use multi-cam, i personally use either flecktarn or brit desert, regards head gear, i like the bush hats or an abs lid (helmet) great head protection and light,,,,,,, use to play with a real kevlar one! fook dat, got the abs one and never looked back!
