    Hi lads,

Im a CAT 1 golfer playing off 3 and looking to get lower,
My club has an open every wed but the SS for members is often 38pts where the visitor is often 36pts.

Im wondering is there any clubs in leinster that have opens with SS of 35pts etc so there is a chance of a deacent chop if i play well.....

Castlecomer usually around the 35 mark, especially when the wind blows,it's real test imo,i know a couple of v good young lads from Kilkenny,2 and 3 hcp's come down most Thursday's for the open as a result of the sss

I think the easiest way to do it yourself is to look at the usual website howdidido and club websites and see what the scores and standard scratches are, from there it will give you a good idea.

I played a Beaverstown 2 years ago and came in with 35 pts. Thought it was useless and ended up getting cut .9 . i was amazed!!

Portmarnock Links off the championship stakes regularly has CSS of 77 on windy days.

The best I know off is the Headfort New, played there twice last year in opens and got cut twice with 33 & 34 points (CSS was 32 & 33 for visitors).

Dumurray Springs is normally 35 or maybe 34, have seen on masterscoreboard it even lower but that must be off the blues, has to be a right beast of them.
