Saw the pre news add and there were two lads what looked like trying to hump a deer with hounds around them, should be interesting program. But no doubt it will turn into a raging argument on here and veer totaly off topic with personal insults to boot.

Sargent was the only one of that loony lettuce brigade that i have had any time for. His sneering and insulting behavior has finished that:mad:

Did ya hear what sargent said! The green partys agenda is to ban all hunting which involves animal on animal! Does that include dog on pheasant! ferret on rabbit! Me thinks me smells, a big green rat!

    Well done RISE!:):)

Tonight it was very clear that the Greens were on the back foot, Mary White had a pre-recorded piece of waffle, poor Trevor was Waaaay out of his depth and emotional, and Liam Cahill was great. RTE interviewer was neutral for a change, but the back-room boys got in the usual emotive bit of video.

Where has Cahill been hiding his light? HE is the type of person the sporting community needs. He had the facts, current ones, and got them across well. If he keeps this up RISE will be in a position to depose CAI and NARGC. No harm to shake them up a bit;)

Trevor harped on a bit about the stag on the road, but Cahill nipped him - (not very clearly tho') once in 150 years AND underscored the detail of the deer being knocked down by motorists in the Phoenix Park.

    For future use :
Every countrysport person does more for the countryside than any city Green, so why are the Greens not getting more rural support?

If the Greens cared about animal welfare, why are they not doing more about the 39 dogs (average) per week that are being put down (use a more emotive term is required) by the ISPCA?

BRING THE FIGHT TO THE GREENS, ATTACK!!

Again, a big Thank you Mr. Cahill.
    P.

He repeatedly refused to answer the question put to him as regards how far the green party wanted to go with animal welfare....hunting, shooting, fishing.

They put billions upon billions into the banks and people didn't hit the streets. It is so refreshing to see people protesting about issues they are concerned with and it took a fieldsports crowd to do it. Fairplay to them.

It is a funny thought....all the massive decisions needed to rebuild our economy and it may well just be an issue like this that could bring down this government.

Would not be Hard, Hunters have been around for thousands of years, The greens about 10 and 2 in earnest.

That Mary White woman is the most dangerous, she mentioned deer stalking and fishing, Which means she is thinking about it!

Intresting to see Nuala Donlon on there ,now speaking for John Fitzgeralds operation Campain for the Abolition of Cruel Sports.
Either John has got himself a new girlfriend:eek:
Or Nuala is hiring out as a mercenary spokeswoman from the Dublin Hunt Sabs.
Going by the amount of pithy letters the antis have in the papers these days.RISE has rattled their cages somthing good.:D:D

Green do have an agenda. They want to strengthen their political and legal position so they can follow through on their agenda of banning ALL bloodsports. Even Angling?!?!?

If thye pass this 5 bitch dog thing law they will be in a stronger legal/political position to target the hunt and coursing. There are already laws in place to deal with 'puppy mills' and cruelty to animals. Trevor was wrong in saying there is no Dog Act since 1911. It sounded good on TV but in reality there is the Control of Dogs Act 1986 which gives powers to local authorities and the Dog warden to deal with the dog issue. This latest attempt is a smoke screen behind which lies a better position to advance a total hunting ban in Ireland.

It seems the greens have learned a bit from their partners in Govt. How to be sneaky! Trev says it all when he says there is a 'Plan for Government' that is superceeding everything here. This is a major point they will be putting to FF in order keep the present government going and FF will have to give in on it.
