OK, so this is goin to be a long enough ad coz I'm going to give as much info as possible. We're a 5 piece band from Athlone/Roscommon and last night one of the guitarists told us he was leaving. We have gigs lined up and he has agreed to play them until we get a new guitarist so we aren't in a huge rush and we will wait until we find the right person.
We play a fairly standard, popular pub set list, KOL, Thin Lizzy etc. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with playing this kind of music. You may not like all of the songs on the set list and neither do we but it's a neccessary evil of being in a cover band, having to give the people what they want.
Our age range is 19-23 but we won't put a restriction on anyone who is interested in joining. Transport is preferable as there is a bit of travelling to gigs and we don't have a van so the PA has to fit in cars, but if we found the right person we would be willing to work around the transport issue.
Lastly, during college/school term we split practice between Athlone and Dublin due to college and work committments. So you must be willing to travel. During summer all practice is in Athlone. We don't want to put a huge restriction on what part of the country you have to be from but all of our gigs are in the Midlands at the moment so again transport would be preferable.
Anyway, I think that's clear enough. If you're interested feel free to drop me a PM and we can arrange a jam of some sort.

P.S. You must have more sex appeal than the current guitarist, although that isn't too hard. (I'm only saying this coz he'll read this, hey frankie baby :D)
