Have to say that I very much doubt it.
So far he is just not getting the numbers.
He would need to have a mount in nearly every race at each meeting that he attends.
It is a numbers game - a game of percentages.
Unless the numbers improve dramatically in the near future he will not be champion.

    No chance.

    That sounds fairly definite!

Exactly what I was thinking myself.
He wouldn't win any charm contests but he is an excellent jockey.
William Buick could be a future star.

Fallon won't do the amount of travelling needed to win. Plus he won't have the pick of the rides cause there are still a good few trainers who hate him.

I don't think that he will do the travelling either.
The word "hate" is a bit strong, but I know that he is not universally liked.
He is a very good jockey, but I am not sure that he is as good as he was.
Like all of us, he is not getting any younger!
I know that he would love to be champion and I hope that it happens for him, but I can't see it happening.
However, I will be very happy to be proved wrong.

I always wanted to see Jimmy Fortune champion jockey. Won't happen but is very capable, pity he won' get the rides to do so.

    I agree with you.
He is very talented, and he had the potential to be champion.
As in everything else in life luck and opportunity does play a part, although I am not sure that he had the hunger for winners that some of his peers have.
I was sorry to see him lose the job at John Gosden's.
That won't have helped his cause.

I think the biggest injusitice agaisnt Jimmy was losing the ride on Da Re Mi in the Breeder's Cup. He was genuinely upset. That group one in France that he lost becuase of a steward's enquiry should never have been taken off him.
If I recall,Frankie didn't give Dar Re Mi a great ride either, got boxed in or blocked or something, hindsight is wonderful but Jimmy knew the horse I think he would have given it a real chance.
Also Pounced won a grade 1 2 year old race outt there that he lost the ride on,think it was Frankie on it

Yes, that was a huge injustice, and he should never have had the French race taken from him either.

There is no question about Jimmy picking up the quantity of rides but I can't see him picking up enough quality to win the jockeys title.

He picks up plenty of good rides,I don't think he would get enough though.

Kieran Fallon is the greatest flat jockey of all time.

I'd have to disagree there Richie.

What's that got to do with the price of turnips?

Very sorry to hear about Kieron's accident.
He is just having precautionary x rays on his leg and, hopefully, he will resume very soon.
I wish him a speedy recovery.

Would be good if Alan Munro could do it.
    He is a good jockey.
    Pat Smullen in Ireland.

How the hell would Kieron Fallon have a chance of becoming Irish Champion Jockey if he doesn't even live here? How is that confusing in any way?

Thats like assuming a thread on Dettori becoming Champion Jockey concerns the Italian title.

He got punched by a man and kicked by an owner...he must not be very well liked.
