I am looking to put in a few speakers in the kitchen and maybe living room and have a jack comparable to mp3 players so that i can just plug it in and play music through these speakers instead of having a docking station and also having a radio using these speakers also.

I've being looking on the net recently but am having no luck finding these, does anyone have any info on them about where to find or source them as I will be putting them in myself.

I have also posted this in electrical forum just wanted to make sure in case people don't look in that forum normally.

Are you hidding the cables? If you are then run normal speaker cable and terminate the cables with 3.5 mm jack sockets. Then use a 3.5 mm plug to plug to connect to your device. B&Q sell the cable and sockets, it is best to soldier the cable.

    Example cable

Also have a look at Apple Air Tunes, this could replace and speaker wire and play music remotely around your house with a simple plug.
