Hi im on this and i was wondering if its possible to have this deposited in your bank account instead of going to the post office every week? They took my bank details already when i registered but ive always had to go to post office.
    Thanks for any advice!

I went from being from being on a three day week to being made completely redundant. While on the three day week I was able to claim for the remaining days. I was paid by cheque. As soon as I went to signing on for the full week I had to go collect it from my local post office. I think they paid by cheque because I could not be expected to turn up at the post office on a specific day. I don't think the will lodge the money directly into a bank account in order to make sure that you can turn up to a location on a specific day just in case you are working. I am not 100% about this but it makes sense to me. I am open to correction.

Yeah, they used to deposit it into your account but now you've to collect it at the post office yourself. It's to cut down on benefit fraud. People were getting paid into their bank accounts and not even living in the country!
