AK 47/74 - I need help!

Well its my birthday in June (Hooray!) and my folks have said they'll get me a nice AEG. I want an AK47 or 74. Problem is I don't know what brand Im looking for.

I dont have a price limit at the moment so any and all AK's will be considered.
Im looking for:

• Real Wood
• Metal/Steel
• High Grade (Possibly Upgraded) internals

Does any Airsoft Company tick all those boxes? (or rather dots )

No budget would be a vfc, with bearing or metal bushing installed and maybe a mosfet.

From scratch, a DBoys/Kalash AK in full steel is a rock solid gun, also some of the newest cyma's.

Eirsoft do have the kalash ak's in full steel if you specify, I havn't been in in a good while but Tony got me my aks74 full steel when they were new.

Get a nice full stock 74 or aks74 side folder.

Get a VFC and maybe have it fitted with metal or bearing bushes, as they have plastic ones from stock.

TBH the VFC is a real collectors piece, beautifully made and pricey, but a kalash is a rock solid gun at half the price.

What improvements would they make to the gun?

Also, Do any of the Irish Retailers stock it?

Any one of them can order it in for you.

The metal bushings last longer than plastic, the mosfet reduces wear on the trigger contacts.

I did a google and the only VFC I can find is this which is more a AK47-u then a AK47/74. What one are you talking about?

quality airsoft supply is an excellent source of vfc i believe there the uk rep they can also do any work you would like

love my vfc, but cyma and dobys are also excellent value

Any idea if this can have its stock folded/removed if I decided to SMG it for abit?

I think I prefare the Wooden Finish as opposed to the Black that you have above. Are the internals the same?

you can unscrew the stock but the fittings would still stick out of the receiver, it is also wired to the stock so you would need to rewire it to use a stock under the receiver cover,

for me i would say it is not worth it from a practical point of view or a accuracy point of view, best bet would be to get an aks74n or aims is you want a folding stock

Nah I was just curious, Doubt I'd ever fold the stock. Cheers for the advice.

Any particular sight/additions that would make the AK even better?
