    Hi
Can anyone tell me where I can watch Newmarket online today.
Racing starts shortly, so I would appreciate urgent help.
If anyone has a link it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Thanks a million for the link.
Not sure if I will be able to watch that as it seems that you have to place a bet for that.
However, it seems that it should be possible to listen to the radio commentaries and I will very happily settle for that if that is all that is available for free.
    Thanks again for your help.
    Much appreciated.

    Thanks Robbie.
I used to get S A Racing on that channel with the english racing on it, but I wasn't able to get any racing on it today.
Maybe I was looking in the wrong place.
    Will try again tomorrow.
I notice that it says that it is limited to 30 mins a day.
    Will check that out, too.
    Thanks again.

The above link does not work anymore because Racing UK have stopped giving streaming to most sites because they want people to subscribe to themselves. Not sure if betfair are able to show racing uk anymore either.Think bet365 and powers still have it but you got to place a bet with them.

    Thanks Corigi.
Unfortunately it is looking that way.
NTL are looking for 25 euro a month for Racing UK and that is prohibitive.
I would pay 10 euro, but I would still feel that I was being robbed.

I know that. I was merely pointing out that you won't find it on the rp site.

    Yes, I realised that.
    Thanks.

Checked out Racing Post live stream a few minutes ago.
Appears that you have to be signed up for that.
    Is that correct?

I don't think you can watch racing uk free with anyone unless you do a bet? Or register something with racing post in the members area but not 100%

    Thanks.
They are looking for an awful lot of personal information.
While I love to watch racing I have no interest in the betting side.
    Not even The Grand National!

Yes you have to pay a fee to view the live stream.

    OK.
    Didn't realise that.
Used to have a free stream on South African Racing.
That no longer seems to be available.
I find that charges tend to be high, and I have no interest in betting.
Many thanks for letting me know the situation.

Because I love to watch racing and I find - like most people, I am sure - that if the result is known it spoils the fun.
While I often record racing at home on Channel 4 or At The Races - if I have to go out for instance -I don't think you can beat the live transmission.
Sometimes I will watch the news on a Saturday evening and hear the result of the day's main race before I have got to the recording.
RTE don't start their report by saying "there was an exciting finish to the King George at Kempton today" giving you time to turn down or mute the volume.
Instead they start by saying "Arkle demolished his rivals in today's King George at Kempton Park" and the result is out before you have time to grab the remote.
    Hope that explains it.

Ya but it takes 2 minutes to register. And I mentioned that just the ones that ATR shows, including all the Irish racing, and decent french racing and plenty of decent racing from england.

I have At The Races on the TV.
    It was not showing Newmarket.
I do not have Racing UK which was showing Newmarket.

    its a bitch really

was great when signing up with setanta meant
    being able to watch ruk
now it costs more for that one channel

i'd have done a bet today if i couldve watched
    cheltenham, ayr or newbury.
I don't even know what won today races.
no interest without being able to watch
and whatever slim chance one has in making
money on them theres no chance when you
don't get to see racing on a daily basis.
Think that explains why i lost me bollox at chelt
and i didnt go near very many favourites there either

Don't know if it is of any help but it seems to be possible to listen to a free radio commentary about 15 mins after the race is run on Victor Chandler.com

Yes, that is another good radio option.
Has anyone yet come up with free live streaming for Racing UK - without having to place a bet or any other catches?
I don't regard it as free if you have to place a bet.
    That costs.
And, in view of that, I would regard some of the advertising for free Racing UK as misleading.
