Hi all, in the market for a Gramin or similar to do the usual, with HRM etc... Is anyone here successfully using something on a NON-Intel iMac? I've a mac mini and iMac at home, both running Os 10.4.

I'm only starting to get serious about my running, plan on doing a few 10ks and building to a half in the Summer... Would love to take a step up to monitoring my heart rate and distances accurately.

    Cheers

I use mine on an Intel iMac, my brother has a mac mini on 10.4 I'll give it a try later on and see if will work on that.

Thanks RC! let me know how you get on. Really appreciate it!

That''s my problem I think... My iMac is PowerPC, not intel. All the tech specs on the Garmin site, that do favor Mac Os - favor intel Macs.

Keep it quiet, but we might have a Garmin thread here that Kursty can't help with.

I've been using Garmin (305) software on my PowerPC 2005 ibook for years, no problems.

If you want to get a bit more flashy, you can try the highly rated Ascent for Mac.

My Garmin 405 works with my G4 Powerbook - no problem at all. Both the ANT+ software and the Garmin Training Centre software work fine on older PPC systems.

My forerunner 405 works perfect with my mac mini. No problems at all.
