    Hi all,

I've a iphone from o2, going fine except over the past week or so it's just being dropping service, sitting at my desk here in work and I'm seeing it cycle from full bars, to 2, to none to No Service without it being touched, I've tried leaving 3G on or off, WiFi on or off. Same thing happens at home. I updated to the latest firmware yesterday, same thing, a lot of people are telling me that when they ring me they are going straight through to my voicemail, I also get a lot of Call Failed calls.

That actually makes me feel a bit better :) I've another o2 phone here and it doesn't have any problems, as well as a modem I use from time to time, so I don't think it's the network or the location I'm in

I seem to be having the same problem - with VF and never had problem with coverage with other phones!

Last phone was BB Storm and I did have to reset the phone once a week so maybe the Iphone needs a similar power down and reboot!

I've powered down and rebooted, I've restored the phone as well, I've take the SIM out over night as well

You just have to accept that an iPhone, is an iPod, which can make phone calls .... sometimes :(

Read on ... user experiences from around the country. Google the issue for user experiences from around the world. It's a disaster

Experience myself also. Jailbroken and on Meteor but only last week sitting on Clarendon Street in a car with full bars then dropped to No Service for about 5 minutes. Happend a couple of times since - about 4 times in 2 weeks..

I decided to call o2 this evening, nice lady on the phone said it wasn't a common occurance with iPhones and it was either a sim card or iphone problem, so I'm going to call into a shop and get a new sim card, she said I can get the iphone sent off for repair if I wanted but it would be easier just to get a new sim card first to see how that went.

Overall I have to say the call to o2 wasn't unpleasant, if it wasn't for the hold time it would have been 1 of the best call center calls I've made for a while (I hate calling call centers)

    When this happens -

Turn on airplane mode in Settings menu & then back off - should pick signal back up quickly!

Yeah that usually works, either that or turning 3G on or off will help.

I'm in an office now with 3 other people, they all have full coverage on their phones, I'm in Searching mode, to the shop with me I think

Is it an iPhone problem, an O2 problem, or an iPhone + O2 problem? Do people have the same problem if they're using an iPhone with Vodafone or Meteor?

I had this problem before and it was fixed - O2 said I lived in an area without complete coverage, on the border of two separate signals. But this time when I rang the helpline they said they couldn't guarantee service indoors, and I was to give them three instances of this happening *outdoors*. Muppets!
