Ebay Question

    Hi,

Have been using ebay for a few years to buy and sell stuff. Got stung last year - sent an item that wasn't registered and the buyer claimed he didn't receive it, so paypal took the full money from my account to reimburse the buyer.

Since then I've sent everything registered - even the smallest thing, to prevent it happening again. Thing is, I had a highish value item sell the other day - 100euro, and I asked someone else to send it. But they forgot to send it registered.

So, typical - the buyer says he hasn't received it (has only less than 5 feedback).. I'm expecting that he will open a dispute. It's possible that he didn't receive it, but it's also possible that he's scamming, has received it and will claim the money he paid also, as paypal nearly always favour the buyer.

So, is there anything I can do..? I've got the post receipt that has date and amount paid but no tracking number unfortunately.

(Yes I'm aware that it is my mistake, all I'm asking is if there's anything I could do from this point). Thanks

Not a damn thing - if you want something done properly do it yourself. I've been trading on eBay for years and leave nothing to chance - touch wood. :)

Nothing you can do unfortunately - if the buyer claims non reciept he/she will win 100% of the time if you have no tracking

There is a small chance it wasn't delievered. Have you still got his address. Phone his nearest post office and ask if they are holding a parcel for him. If they are not ask for the contact details of his local sorting office and call them and see the same thing.

Otherwise I'm afraid that you will have to take a hit.:(

Out of curiosity, what happens if I ignore paypal?

Remove my card or close my account with them & ebay. I know I have to pay anyway, but just wondering what the procedure is. I know in the U.S., they pass your details on to collections who hound you for it.

But here, I don't know what happens?
