Anyone ever buy an iphone in a Chinese market? Did it work? I know a guy who bought one in Shangai for $80 us dollars! he says it is working fone and looks bang in just wondering has anyone else any other experiences. I relaise I wouldnt have a warranty or a come back but for 80 quid I think its worth the risk!!

You do realise that it wont be a real Iphone... I have seen some of these and in fairness they are a great copy and is functional.

If you want to purchase one of them its your choice

It depends on what you want to do.

Do you want the apps, the connection to iTunes, the updates when they become available?

If not, it could be the phone for you.

I do realise they are not genuine but the one i was looking at has everything iphone has including apps and itunes. It is a very good copy or else smuggled out of the apple factory or something? Just wondering had any1 else came across them thats all? Did they last? I have seen the iclones where the graphics are sh!t and the phone just looks wrong but this 1 was not like other iclones i have seen

I'm in China at the moment and was looking at the fake iPhones last weekend, some of them do look almost identical, a few of the lads in work bought them and seem to think that they are a better buy than the real thing due to the price, firstly they are all labelled 32 Gb, when in fact they have 4Gb memory, the battery is ****e, slow processor and feck all ram, wont connect to iTunes (may have a symbol with iTunes but wont connect) doesn't have GPS, so it's essentially a crap phone that superficially looks like an iPhone but has none of the slick UI or app features that make the iPhone so good. For a bit more you would get a second hand one on adverts that would be a far better purchase.
