Just a little something for those who stick their heads and hands where others won't and I am not talking about John Hopawate :p So choose a back row of your choice and bask in all things dark and dingey about the game.

    6. Rocky Elsom.
    7. David Wallace.
    8. Jamie Heaslip.

    Surely a backrow dream team.

    6. Elsom
    7. Brussow
    8. Harinordoquy (Heaslip a close second).

Brussow is out for the year through injury so we won't see him for a while.

    6. Dusatoir (he can do both :P)
    7. McCaw
    8. Heaslip

Reckon that'd be fairly hard to compete with.

This would be mine, except with Rocky instead of Dusautoir.

I really didn't appreciate the fact we had 2/3 of this last year!

That would be mine too, regardless of Leinster connections.

I think Heaslip has surpassed Harinordoquy and I think Parriese (sp) is obviously an incredible athlete and player, but for the role of an 8, I think Heaslip is the best out and out, all-round 8 in the world.

Elsom is Elsom, I mean, the guy is one of the best competitors I have ever seen on a rugby pitch and his talent and carrying ability and ball winning skills and pace and intelligence, and awww, have to stop, he's just an incredible player.

And McCaw is the most adepth 7 in the world and best ball winner I have ever seen.

It's an awesome backrow and a genuine selection. Baffles the mind that Leinster had 2 of them last season...as much as I loved it, I honestly never thought of it that way at the time...wow!

He got found out in the Lions Series and Tri-Nations. Overhyped player IMO.

There was a bit too much hype but he is still a top quality player.

I personally think Heaslip is talked about too much where as Harinordoquy is not talked about enough, but each to their own.

    Bonnaire
    Dussautoire
    Harinordoquy

    As simple as that :D

more seriously Heaslip needs to improve under the high ball. It is very important for a number 8.

    I would put

    Elsom
    McCaw
    Harinordoquy

I think I'd have to agree with this, you can't leave out Rocky or McCaw. There are a lot of class Number 8s but I think Harinordoquy edges it.

Special mention to Martin Williams, such a smart player and a great link man.

Where would people rank Ferris? He is already a class act i think and is still improving aged only 24. There are some great blindsides in todays game-Rocky, Dusautoir, Burger....
