Need help identifying a vintage license plate

    Would any one be able to tell me what year the following License plate would have come from? The plate number is zm2138, Its from an old Massey Ferguson. A quick look on mywheels/cartell brings up a link to images and alot of the tractors on the image page are 1953, Would anyone be able to nail it down to the exact year? Its for a friend who's writing a book and just wants to be sure..... Any help appreciated..

    Thats a Galway issue from the 50s from 10/50 to 11/59,so around 1953 would be just about right.
    Edit;Its definatly a 1953 Number as the first of the year was ZM2010.
