as you all know im a regular contributor here in classic cars on boards,i know this has been done to death by ppl who come in here just for this info but bare with me,

myself and herself are getting hitched on the 16th of october this year...shes insisting in hiring a car for the day...lucky enough from hanging round with me she has come to have an eye for the beauty of classic cars...we dont want to be the same as everyone else and get a roller, bentley or a daimler..we're looking for something cool

has anyone got anything to hire or know somebody who would hire..we're not interested in self drive,,,shes a huge mustang fan and im a trans am fan but we know the getting in and out for her with the dress would be a problem..anything big and american out there? i know to hire the cars it must be psv'd but im not bothered if the driver isnt

anyway get back to me if you can any help would be great

    thanks lads

    Hey Barry,

You know the gig with this already, i.e. it shouldn't be done without car and driver being PSV'd. The T/A or 'Stang is no use to you either as they're both coupes with very small back seats. If you know anyone with a big Mopar (Challenger, Charger, Satellite, etc) they're much bigger and would do the job I would imagine. If you found someone willing to drive you you could always leave a 'present' in the glove box for him as opposed to actual financial reward.

Star Car Hire up the North is another option but another user on here reckons they're not covered down South. Alternatively one of our lads runs www.cadillacweddings.ie and has a couple of Fleetwoods that would do the job. Not exactly what you're looking for I know but worth a look!

    Best of luck dude! ;)

    cheers john

yeah i know the score and the mustang and pontiac were ruled out early days for the same reasons as you said..i know exactley where the guy with the cadillac lives..i used to live near there myself...it is an option alright...one i'll keep open...

the "present" thing was always gonna be the right option in the circumstances

    thanks again

I was at a sale and show in Swords on Sunday.I was talking to a guy there selling a Mustang and a Hummer(both white)
These would be some wedding carriges. He was a very sound guy but i did not get his contact details.
I'd say if you can track down the organisers of this show they would have his number.
