Laptop just died, need recommendations for a new one

    Well my old laptop just died. Needs a new motherboard and HD so think of just throwing it on the scrap heap and getting a new one.

    Can anyone recommend something based on the below? I was also looking at the Dell and Mac outlet sites and laptopsdirect.ie refurbished laptops. Are these worth going for?

    Budget: €500-€600 (Obviously the less I spend the better!)

    Intended use: Internet browsing, watching movies (want HDMI output to hook up to TV). Play some games - would just be playing Football Manager etc, would assume that RAM rather than graphics card would be good for Football Manager as there are hardly any graphics!

    Mobility: Doesn't have to be mobile at all.

    Warranty: Warranty not too important

    What Operating System do you use? Doesn't bother me!
