Stolen Cervelo P2C

Hoping to appeal to everyones sense of the right thing to do. I have just had a 2008 Cervelo P2C (Dura Ace group set) stolen from my apartment complex in D4. I've attached a picture of it, although this is just a stock photo, it does have water bottle cages and long distance bottle cages behind the seat. From what I've been told by bike stores there aren't that many of them here in Ireland. I'm hoping if anyone here is offered this bike they would either contact me by replying to this thread or Irishtown Garda station.

I know its a long shot and a pretty thin one at that too. While the bike is quite pricey, it is also of significant emotional value to me having done several Ironmans on it.

Also, any advice anyone may having regarding getting it back would be gratefully accepted.

    Thanks for your time

    Mike

Would suggest moving the post to the main forum.

Very sorry to her that though, sickening that some scum bag got their hands on it.

I live in D4 myself and near Irishtown station so do you mind me asking what apartment block it was as store my bike in the apartment as well.

It would be very hard for your run of the mill scummer to shift this in Ireland without raising suspicion. Even on the road, it'll stick out a mile. Hopefully someone will see it.

It was taken from the Cranmer Place complex in Beggars Bush, it was in the back of my Nissan Patrol in an apparently secure underground carpark. The guy who took it went to the trouble of putting the back seats back in their original position, which I find odd, as if he was trying to make it look like there was nothing out of place.

Thanks, first time user here, so no idea how to post on the main forum. How can I see the thread on the main forum?

    Thanks again

Happened to a pal of mine in Dublin 2 years ago. He put up a pic and contact number on posts in the local area. Junkie called back to house with info. Pal had contacted the gardai who happened to be in the area when the junkie was returning the bike. Quizzed him as to why he had such a bike, thereby getting my pal out of the loop. In this case my pal had a friend who was a guard so was able to set it up.
Not sure if this helps or not.

Right so somebody was obivously having a snoop around the basement, I thought they broke into the house, still that is nasty. It's a good area there too so you wouldn't expect it.

Have you got the serial number from the frame recorded somewhere? Always handy to have this. Keep an eye on adverts and gumtree, you might see it there.

On your other question about where to see it click here
