I'm looking to start a serious new band geared towards (firstly) finding a modern rock sound and getting radio play within 6 months, then taking over the world, or wherever sounds fun. The moon, maybe.

I'm 23 and play lead guitar in usually a classic rock/ heavy blues style. It's this style that I want to blend with modern electro sounds (including vocal effects, synth, samplers, electronic percussion). I want to make the drums very dance-able and be a real addition to the sound. Not just there cos they "have to be there". I've 8 years non stop experience and I'm very driven. I've played with No Standing, Phat Lizzy, Duck and Cover, and Candy In My Heels.

My brother plays drums and we've our own practice room with amps and PA out in Bray. I've a lot of songs written in various styles but am looking to flesh these out with other musicians and find a 'sound' that works for us.

I play guitar and sing lead. If you can sing backing or are female to share lead vocals, and are willing to put some effort into a new project, then I'd love to hear from you.

If you search kevin murphy music on Facebook or Bebo you should find some acoustic examples of songs I've written but these are the lighter side of what I'd play, if I even play them.
