Snoring

I'm staying in a hostel at the moment and there's this fella in the bunk above who snores almost right through the night. I don't understand why you'd book into a dorm when you know you are a heavy snorer or better still why not get it sorted?

    Anyway, do you snore?

Ok for a start I'm not actually asleep I'm just pretending to be to avoid the embarrassment of having to ask you to stop masturbating loudly in the bunk below me.

I don't know why you'd book into a dorm if you're a chronic masturbater, or better still why not get it sorted?

Survey needs an "Only when I'm drunk" option.

Can somebody please make a pun about the op being "hostel".

    Tnx in advance.

It would be very considerate to not book yourself into a hostel because you snore imo! I'd imagine the snoring doesn't bother him as much as it bothers you...

I don't know either, but I worked as night porter in a hostel, and I've had the complaint.

The lad complaining just ignored it the first time (it was the bed above him). On the second time, he came down complaining because "the results were trickling down the wall beside him."

The rooms were all en suite too, so yer man could have just popped to the jacks for a quick pull.

    No problem.

The OP is being very hostel towards this guy. Snore than you'd expect from a mild-mannered guy like him.

(I threw in a second too for you. That one's on the house!)

Please stop typing - I can't sleep with the noise of your keyboard.

Not if I sleep on my side/face down... If I pass out on my back, it's bad... But not too bad. I don't sleep much anyway. (As evidenced by a lot of my boards.ie posts being made in between 23:00-05:00)....

Snoring is manly, it's like roaring in your sleep.
    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

As an insomniac snoring drives me insane.

It's a mixture of hating the snorer because I blame them for keeping me awake, and hating the snorer because I'm jealous that they are asleep.

:D You expect them not to stay in a dorm because they snore? hahaha!

Buy some ear plugs or pay more for a private room:pac:

Expecting the snorer not to book into a dorm because they snore is a bit much now isnt it!?

I'm just grouchy this morning because of lack of sleep. And it wasn't a bit, it was repeatedly throughout the night. Sounded like a recovering tracheotomy patient with a bad dose of the flu. Plus, in this day and age, snoring can be easily remedied, a pillow over the face.

BS. That's like saying you should go Gold Class in the cinema if you don't want to hear people talking through the film.

There's no Gold Class in Ireland. There are however, DVDs.

What's Gold Class? Is it like the premium seats in Vue?

I don't understand why someone would book into a dorm and expect nobody to snore tbh, it's quite common.

You should have booked a private room if you wanted peace and quiet.

    I'm the same..
Doesn't help that I sleep heavier than a coma patient.
    I've woken up with bruises..
