In a van. Camping. For a month. What is the CHEAPEST this can be done and any tips on how please and thanks.

Also places of interest, must sees are very welcome. The language is not a barrier for me so nowhere is really off limits in terms of that.

Which places are best to avoid?

Did you travel parts of Spain?

Was thinking one month - what are the spots to hit?

For a suggested route, we done it anti-clockwise starting in Malaga then

    Valencia
    Barcelona
    Bilbao
    Santander
    Salamanca
    Madrid
    Toledo
    Seville
    Malaga

I'd put Salamanca and Valencia as my favourite places.

We done it by bus, so not much help there.

    Thanks podge.

    When did you do it?

What was the expense like? Were you camping?

back in 2004, Spain is still a lot cheaper than Ireland, but put it this way, we had a few quid and weren't starving ourselves! It'd be fairly cheap cooking your own meals I'd imagine. We stayed in hostales, slightly more upmarket than Hostels, but not really hotel standard.
