Ok guys i have a sako quad in a 17hmr, I bought this rifle second hand with a niko sterling 6-24x56 scope on it. Now I really love the rifle but hate the scope it's physically huge and have just grown to hate it so much that it puts me off going out:mad:
So I am in the market for a new scope now, just wondering what sort of glass do other 17hmr guys use.

All recommendations will be gratefully appreciated.

    Hello.
I dont use one myself, but a friend of mine uses a Burris 2.5-10 x 50 illuminated scope. seems to work fairly well, he hasnt had any problems so far.

Wot he says - you won't go wrong with that glass sitting on your .17.
I'm a BIG fan of the Bushnell scopes.

I'd recommend dwighet's offer too. If you want a smaller objective, as it seems you do, then that's a nice package. You don't give up any of the magnification, but it'll be lighter, and much better glass.
