Considering the state of the Nation, with folk being pretty peeved with everything from our being cheated out of the World Cup, NAMA, PS pay talks, The Great Gas Giveaway, the Quinn debacle, the church, the goverment again (because they're just so crap), the price of cabbages, climate change, you name it, pretty much everything that is happening is bad, would you support/attend/not be arsed with a rally to say 'That's it, we've had enough, next Government please' ?
May 1st is on a Saturday this year and it being international workers day, it seems like a good opportunity to get out there and let that shower in power know that we, the people, are not amused.

May i Protest. Would you attend a Protest Rally against all the bad stuff? 36 votes

We get one of these "revolution" threads at least twice a week. If you're gonna do it, do it. Stop talking about it on an internet forum.

Look at the current situation in Thailand. They know how to protest.

Nobody wants to be the gobsh1te standing alone outside the GPO at the allotted time wondering where is everyone else......it's a bit like being the poor fcuk that has to get up at a buddy's wedding to 'fill the dancefloor' -you will only do it if you have to and if other people come too.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over that. Even if he hadn't handballed the match would have just gone to a peno shootout .... which we would have lost. Paul McShane just being on the pitch ensured this. He's like a living/breathing copper-haired jinx.

    WHEN DO WE WANT IT?

    Now?

Anyway unless we have a coup, there really is no way for us to do much. yes a protest would be nice, but how many would actually show for this? It's easy to say it now on a computer but when put up to the task, you'd be suprised at how many people show how gutless they can be.

What we need is someone who can talk. Someone who is a gifted speaker and can encourage and motivate people. Someone like Jim Larkin. Someone who can actually lead and speak for the people, someone who can encourage the people to get off their asses and do something. But failing that, there's not much hope or confidence in most Irish people to do something.

God the hype about that was ridiculous! We would have lost the rematch anyway why won't people accept that??

We should have a go at Greece during the protest after what they said about us that we were lazy and not bothered to do anything about the situation!
''Look who's bailing you out now'' mwhahahaha

Just gauging opinion is all, like has been said don't want to be the only gobsh1te standing there:)
As for the Thais, oh yeah, that's what we need, go on the Red Shirts. I'd even go as far as saying that we to take a page out of their neighbours books;)

It's an ipso facto thing my friend and you are nobody.
Of course the World Cup will be just as enjoyable without the boys in green at it. (and as far as I'm concerned the Government is responsible for this too, somehow)
I can only assume you won't be tuning into the WC anyway when it rolls around.

How will changing the government effect anythign to do with the World cup, cabbages, the church , quinn, climate change and lots of other stuff?

Silly random "government out" protests are crap and only get attended by loonies.

Even worse when theres no actual point to a march other than " we hate stuff, stuff is crap."

I bet you everything I own we would not have lost in a replay against France for a spot in World Cup 2010 , regardless of what happened in Paris.
