Unable to upgrade to service pack 3 XP in Boot camp & CanoScan Lide 90 won't work

    Hi

    I've installed Windows XP professional (service pack 2) a while ago on my macbook pro so that I can use CAD and Revit.

    Every time I try to get windows to update to service pack 3 it gets to a certain early stage and an error occurs. This seems to be a problem due to the mac partition I think as I've looked around to solve the problem but nothing seems to work. I've tried changing the AppleMNT.sys file in the drivers folder as one message board suggests but sadly that file does not exist on my windows partition.

    Another issue I'm having with my Mac partition is with my CanoScan lide 90 which for some reason just wont work no matter how many times I install the driver so I have to use it on my windows partitions which really disrupts my work flow.

    If anyone else has had these problems I'd be very appreciative of a solution. Thanks in advance!
