Looking for some expert opinions here.

Signed on recently following redundancy. Going on holidays on Thursday for a week but I have yet to receive any money or correspondence from the Social Welfare since i signed on over four weeks ago.

Do I tell them I am going away? I would just be afraid that something might come in the post while I am away and that will cause hassle.

    Thanks

Wouldn't worry about it , you're unlikely to hear from them for a few weeks, it can take upto 12 weeks depending on the part of the country you're in. Even if you get post while you're away just call in when you get back. Also you're not actually receiving social payments as yet.
