Iv got a small bit of hyperpigmentation on my cheeks left from acne, they are small dotted pink spots/ scars. I dont want to have to wear makeup anymore. I want to get rid of them completely.

Anyone have any suggestions that might help? or know of any good clinics that treat scarring with results!

    Thanks :)

Hi,I have the very same little reddish mark/blemishes from spots around the side and base of my cheeks/chin. It looks like they are spots but they aren't there the remainer but the marks are there for about a year or two. Just wondering did you used any cream or lotion which you found to be of any help to you...?

Microdermabrasion is good for that type of thing. Its a suction and cyrstals type of thing, literally wipes away all the dead skin cells on the top of your skin. Pearl Beauty in the Morrison Chambers on Nassau Street are currently offering micorderm and a collagen face mask for €60. (I searched around for the cheapest I could find!!) I've had them done and your skin feels fantastic after. You will need a few sessions to get rid of red marks but I've noticed an improvement after two. You should make an appointment with the therapist and have a chat with her, see what she says.

Isotrexin gel, available on prescription, gets rid of acne and acne scars, even the dent-in-the-face type ones.

I found that Bio-Oil really worked :) I had scars from when I was a kid in just a few weeks I could barely notice them. I would recommend.

Argan Oil, a pure, natural vegetable oil from Morocco, has been used for centuries for skin care and as a remedy for skin blemishes, including scars, stretch marks etc.

You can get it online from www.organicarganoil.co.uk - payment can be made in euros, with delivery to all parts of Ireland.

Is it painful? Do you look red afterwards?

I have those flat red scars. I hate them. I also hate wearing make up because it doesn't suit me. I would definitely get this done if it works.
